Long Island/Greater NYC Wedding Photographer & Videographer
We have been capturing weddings for over 30 years, as weddings were our first jobs. We serve clients all over Long Island including, but not limited to: Albertson, Amagansett, Amityville, Atlantic Beach, Babylon, Baldwin, Bayshore, Bayport, Bayville, Bellport, Bellmore, Bethpage, Blue Point, Bridgehampton, Brookhaven, Carle Place, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Dix Hills, East Hampton, East Islip, East Moriches, East Northport, East Setauket, Franklin Square, Freeport, Glen Cove, Great Neck, Great River, Garden City, Holbrook, Huntington, Kings Park, Kings Point, Levittown, Lake Grove, Manorville, Massapequa, Melville, Merrick, Mount Sinai, Northport, North Babylon, Oakdale, Oceanside, Old Bethpage, Old Westbury, Oyster Bay, Patchogue, Peconic, Plainview, Port Jefferson, Rockville Centre, Ronkonkoma, St. James, Sayville, Sea Cliff, Smithtown, Southampton, Stony Brook, North Fork (Riverhead, Aquebogue, Calverton, Cutchogue, Greenport, Orient, Jamesport, Mattituck, Peconic, Southold, etc), Montauk, the Hamptons, Westhampton, Westbury, Woodbury, and much more. Aside from Long Island, we serve clients in the Greater NYC/Tristate area such as Manhattan (New York City), Westchester & New Rochelle, Connecticut, and New Jersey. If you are having your wedding elsewhere but would like us to capture your special day, feel free to reach out! We love to travel and work with/at venues we never have before.
Because of our many years of experience, we are well versed in shooting weddings of all sizes, whether it be a micro wedding with 15 guests, a backyard wedding, or a big wedding at your chosen venue with 500 guests! We also have experience capturing weddings for clients of various backgrounds/ethnicities and so on, whether it be Jewish, Indian, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and much more.
Further, aside from capturing your special day with timeless photography and/or videography, we can help you with any other wedding information you might need. Whether you’re looking for a great live band or DJ, a fantastic florist, a flawless makeup team, the perfect venue based on the dream you've created in your head (check out the wedding page for a list of favorite venues), or a stunning hotel to get ready in, we have endless suggestions. You do not need to use the packages offered by your wedding venue! Although they can be a great deal, you often don't get as personal of an experience as you would when finding your own vendors. For example, often couples do not know who is actually participating in/capturing their wedding until the day of, and that goes for all vendors, not just photography and videography! Find vendors you really like, whether it be through word of mouth, a google search or instagram, and book them - trust us, you will not regret it!
We have various wedding packages that have been designed to meet any and all of your photography and/or videography needs. Even though we are great together, our packages can be made to exclude videography or photography. We understand that you may only need one of our services! Pricing is not listed on our website, but it can be easily obtained by giving us a call, text, or filling out the contact form. Prior to your wedding, we are available to meet in person, or via telecommunication whether it be a phone call, a facetime, or a Zoom meeting. This allows you to gain a better understanding of who we are, what we will provide prior to and on your wedding day, and discuss any additional details, like the timeline of the day, how many hours of coverage you might need, who you want grouped together for formal portraits, or any specific requests you may have. Hint - if you meet with us in person, you will get to indulge in a delicious charcuterie board!
Long Island Engagement & Proposal Photographer
I, Mariann, serve couples all across Long Island when it comes to engagement or proposal sessions. Fun fact: engagement sessions are my absolute favorite to shoot! There is no stress or pressure on the couples at all (like there sometimes is on the big day) - it is just pure fun! Engagement and proposal sessions are usually captured at a location that is significant to the couple. If nothing comes to mind, I have plenty of great location ideas all across the island to offer! If your wedding is not on Long Island, and you'd like to have your engagement session in the same area, let me know.
Should you choose to book your wedding with us, an engagement session is often included in your wedding package! Even though we are great together, our packages can be made to exclude videography or photography. We understand that you may only need one of our services! Pricing is not listed on our website, but it can be easily obtained by giving us a call, text, or filling out the contact form. Prior to your engagement session, we are available to meet in person, or via telecommunication whether it be a phone call, a facetime, or a Zoom meeting. Hint - if you meet with us in person, you will get to indulge in a delicious charcuterie board!
Surprise proposal sessions are very nerve-racking, for both the groom-to-be and the photographer, but are so worth it in the end! The moment lasts only seconds so to capture it, we would suggest hiring a professional photographer, like myself. Proposal sessions are quite literally engagement photos, so like engagement sessions, they are usually shot at a location that is significant to the couple. In order to prepare as best as possible, here are a few surprise proposal tips:
- Determine your proposal location well ahead of time. This will give the groom-to-be and me the opportunity to do a walk-through of the location and nail down the important details, like where he'll be getting down on one knee!
- Pick a time! I would suggest later in the afternoon, as the sun is at the best spot and giving off the best lighting at that time.
- If you cannot meet in person beforehand, make sure to share photos/what you plan to wear so I know who to look for.
- Be sure to inform me if this is a public proposal, meaning if friends and family will be nearby. Not only will this help with identifying where she needs to be (if unable to meet in person) but it'll help with tip #5 as well!
- Plan to spend a little extra time after the proposal to first take it all in and then to enjoy a mini engagement shoot as a newly engaged couple!
- Have a backup plan - weather, life, and more are very unpredictable! So whether it be a different date or a different location, make sure you and I have a Plan B if needed.

Long Island Bar/Bat Mitzvah Photography & Videography
We have captured hundreds of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs across Long Island throughout the years. We serve clients all over Long Island including, but not limited to: Amityville, Atlantic Beach, Babylon, Baldwin, Bellmore, Cedarhurst, Commack, Dix Hills, East Meadow, Freeport, Glen Cove, Glen Head, Great Neck, Hewlett, Hicksville,Huntington, Inwood, Jericho, Lake Grove, Lawrence, Long Beach, Manhasset, Massapequa, Merrick, Mount Sinai, Northport, Oceanside, Plainview, Port Jefferson, Port Washington,Rockville Centre, Roslyn, Selden, Syosset, Valley Stream, Wantagh, Woodbury, Woodmere, and so much more. If you don't see your town/your venues town listed here, please reach out! We serve beyond the examples listed above.
When booking with us, there are usually three photography and/or videography elements that go into each and every Bar & Bat Mitzvah: the casual shoot, the temple shoot, and the party! Even though we are great together, our packages can be made to exclude videography or photography, or any of the elements noted above. We understand that you may only need one of our services!
The casual shoots are usually shot outdoors and are typically only photographed by me (Mariann), as there is no video element but John does come along to assist! The pictures taken during the casual shoot are mainly solo portraits of the Bat Mitzvah girl or the Bar Mitzvah boy, as this is a great way to get them comfortable in front of the camera before their big day. Feel free to bring along anything you'd like to add to the photos that helps showcase your child's personality/interests! For example, some families bring their dogs or some kids bring along sports gear! The casual shoot photos are often used for poster boards and the slideshows at the party.
The temple shoots are typically shot at the family's selected synagogue. The temple shoots are typically captured by both of us. Aside from photos taken throughout the temple service, portraits of your son or daughter and family portraits, are taken before or after the service.
Finally, it's party time! The party is always shot at the chosen venue and is typically captured by both us. The only thing left to do is have an awesome time!
Aside from capturing your special day with timeless photography and/or videography, we can help you with any other wedding information you might need. Whether you’re looking for a great live band or DJ, the perfect venue (check out our bar/bat mitzvah page for a list of our favorite temples & venues), or party decorators, we have endless suggestions.
