Lessing's Hospitality Group offers some of the most popular wedding venues on Long Island, and for good reason. Their venues are beautiful and diverse, aren't too wildly priced, and their team is great to work with. We have been lucky enough to capture weddings at nearly all of their venues multiple times each! Lessing's venues all offer 'in-house' packages - again, it is okay not to use them! Make sure you are booking vendors, photographers, DJs, and beyond, that you truly like (we hope it's us)! If you choose to not use one of their in-house vendors, here is a list of our favorite Lessing's wedding venues (sorry it's nearly all of them) that we hope to work with you at:

Rachel and John's wedding began at one of my favorite churches, St. Patrick's in Bayshore, NY. The ceremony continued at Mansion at Timber Point, one of our favorite Lessing's wedding venues. With a max capacity of 250 guests, one event at a time, you're able to have your ceremony and reception there, indoor or outdoor, weather permitting. They have an in-house caterer that must be used for continental cuisine - they do not offer Kosher. It's extremely picturesque and offers great spots for wedding pictures. As an added bonus for us, it's incredibly close to home! If you're having your wedding at Mansion at Timber Point, here's a list of some places to eat and things for you and/or your guests to enjoy nearby:

1. George Martin's Strip Steak in Great River, NY - GREAT food! It is a a bit of a smaller restaurant and has limited parking, so if you'd like to go there for your wedding rehearsal dinner, or to go in general, be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
2. Heckscher State Park in East Islip, NY - a great nearby park to enjoy the great south bay, walk or bike the 4 mile waterfront trail, fields for most sports, watersports, picnics, and you can even rent waterfront cottages!

3. Fire Island - Fire Island is a 30 minute ferry ride across the Great South Bay to pure fun and relaxation. Fire Island is a 26 mile strip consisting of beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches, restaurants, and shopping. Each community, we've listed the popular ones below, in Fire Island offers something different, so make sure you look up all of them to see which best fits what you're looking for:

1. Kismet - A mile walk from Robert Moses Beach Field 5, a quick 10 minute walk to the Fire Island Lighthouse where you can see the whole island and NYC on a clear day, has 3 restaurants, is very family friendly.
2. Fair Harbor - Quiet community with fine dining, where you're most likely to see celebs like Tina Fey!
3. Ocean Beach - By far one of the most popular communities, offering a variety and multitude of restaurants, bars, and markets.
4. Ocean Bay Park - A favorite amongst those in their 20s, as it's a quick walk to Ocean Beach, but it offers its own bar and restaurant scene.
5. Cherry Grove - The most lively community with it's themed parties, happy hours, and the famous 'Miss Fire Island' - a drag queen beauty contest.
